St Columba Gymnasium
Description:
The new Gymnasium is a landmark feature for the school and is constructed from sandblasted precast panels, structural steel, insulated roof panels and twin wall danpalon. The playing surface is a sprung timber floor line marked with 16 courts and the area is divided for use by a sports curtain. The main basketball court and two half courts are serviced by automated backboards and all designed to international basketball standards.
The support facilities incorporate weights training areas, reception, teacher offices, kindergym and community agency facilities. All facilities are provided with the data and communications systems interlinked through the college’s current infrastructure.
