Craigmore High School Science Lab

Value: $1.9 Million
Delivery Method: Design and Construct
Project type: Education

Description:

As part of the BER Stimulus Package a new Science Laboratory was constructed for Craigmore High School. The lab was constructed of structural steel framing, lined with express jointed CFC, plywood and impact resistant plasterboard. Internally, chemical resistant finishes in the joinery and floor coverings were used to provide the school with an easily maintainable building.

Each classroom within the lab is serviced with mechanical ventilation, data communication systems and teacher display benches.

Due to the nature of use the building has several features including eye wash stations and emergency showers as well as electrical and gas emergency shut off valves.
